Barclays Premier League Awards

-- In perhaps the greatest honour ever bestowed on a Dover player, we are delighted that Paul Moses is named as the English Footballer of the Year!!! Miguel Sousa from Chelsea comes in second and our very own Arsene Bamba comes in third! Phenomenal.

-- Manchester United’s Omar Hernandez wins the English Player’s Player of the Year award. Jack Wilshere from Arsenal comes second and Yaya Sanogo from Manchester United comes in third.

-- It seems a bit odd but our star midfielder Neil Cairney wins the Players' Young Player of the Year award for the first time at age 24. Cheikh Bocande, the big striker with Liverpool, comes in second and Tottenham’s Lamine Faye comes in third.

-- Another Dover award, as I’m named English Premier League Manager of the Year!!! Middlesbrough’s Tony Mowbray finishes runner up and Tottenham’s Robert Kelly finishes third.

FA Cup Final

-- Manchester City win 2-1 over Tottenham to win the FA Cup for the ninth time, with their most recent win coming in 2020, four years ago.



Loan Update

-- We get an update from France, as Dover loanee Orlando Scolari, a striker playing for Girondins Bordeaux, finishes second in goals in Ligue 1 with 20. Hmm - might have to give the 22 year old a look next season…

-- We are on our way to France, where a sell-out crowd of 67,000 is expected at Stade Velodrome for the Champions League final between slightly favoured Barcelona and little Dover Athletic from England!
