I always found storylines to be very frustrating because it is so easy to make a mistake, waste an angle, and have to either redo it in a later show, advance the storyline without the angle or match, or go back to a save and redo the show.
A couple of years back I posted a suggestion on the TEW board that the booking analysis should tell you not only which workers you aren't using, but which storylines would not advance in the show. That way you'd at least be tipped off that something was amiss.
