I thought the ending was particularly well scripted...

...given that they'd set up the possibility that Merl in the stolen van would wreak vengeance on the camp (thus ratcheting up the tension when the camp scene began -- you knew *something* was going to happen) and then turning our expectation on its head and giving us the threat we *should* have been expecting all along: zombies.

Just a nice piece of plotting, there.
