Chattahoochee Long Course Time Trials - RESULTS
Bailey
200 IM – 3:09.45 – Good swim, dropping in 17+ seconds. 2:52.11.
50 Free – 38.78 – A big improvement in time down to a 33.40, but I was hoping for a bit better showing. There are still inefficiencies in her freestyle stroke.
200 Free – 2:52.19 – Another 17+ second improvement to 2:34.79
100 Back – 1:31.48 – Bailey swam a great race and came up just short of a state cut, posting a time of 1:19.95…the cut is 1:19.89…
200 Breast – NT – Bailey has a good, not great swim here. Finishing in 3:39.79…still needs to improve in breast for this stroke and for IMs moving forward, but it is much much better than it used to be…
100 Fly – 1:26.02 – I was blown away by this swim. Bailey finished second (the girl that beat her won the 100 fly at state) in the 11/12 age group, having just aged up to 12, and she finished in a time of 1:17.02. This time was faster than Brett swam his 100 Free (before Brett beat that time in the 200 Free the next day…)
100 Free – 1:16.14 – 1:13.16 is good, but still something isn’t translating...
200 Fly – NT – Again finished second (same girl from the 100 fly beat her)…posted a 2:53.83…only about 2 seconds off the cut for 13 year old girls…which is her new goal in this event.
200 Back – 3:01.64 – another close call on the cut…2:52.62, needs to drop about .4 of a second to get it.
400 IM – 6:48.11 – Another second place finish (same girl finished first)…and Bailey dropped a bunch of time. I was an interesting race, as Bailey was second after fly, lost a little ground on back, but was able to hold off a very good breaststroker and then beat her in the free as well. Final time was 6:04.83
