Long Course Season Update
The long course season, and thus the year round season, is coming to a close…so I thought I’d take a second and update you where things stand.
Brett will be swimming in the last chance meet this weekend, he’ll be competing in 100 Breast, 200 Free, 100 Back, 200 Back, and 400 Free. The only potential shot he has at a cut is the 100 Breast, and he’ll need to drop a significant amount of time to reach the 1:25.89 cut, which isn’t likely, especially given he’s felt so poorly he hasn’t practiced in the last few days. Our only real hope is the time off is creating a taper effect that will give him extra energy when he races. I’ll do my typical write up on this soon.
The Long Course State Championship will start on Wednesday, July 16. Bailey and Bear both will have pretty full schedules. Like with Brett above, I’ll do my typical write up ahead of time…but here are what they are set to compete in…
