Still mad, so here we go with a quick preseason rundown.

Preseason Game #1
New Orleans 27 Cincinnati 14
Pin this ugly loss on terrible run defense as RB Dalton Hilliard shredded us for 103 yards and a TD on 16 carries. RB Jerome Bettis had an ugly debut - 14 carries for 41 yards and a fumble. We also had almost no pass rush.

Starting QB Battle
Wade Wilson - 8 of 13, 104 yards, a TD, sacked 3 times for 16 yards and a fumble.
Elvis Grbac - 15 of 28, 209 yards, sacked 1 time for 5 yards, 1 INT, 1 fumble

Still too close to call.

Game #2
Cincinnati 20 Philadelphia 10
Much better game today. Beautiful 67 yard TD run by Napoleon McCallum and Jerome Bettis grabbed 74 yards and a TD on 16 carries. He also fumbled, though. Great game by our secondary. All four starters had 2 pass defenses.

Wade Wilson - 7 of 12 - 67 yards
Elvis Grbac - 11 of 18 - 105 yards - sacked 3 times for 15 yards - 1 INT - 1 fumble - 4 carries, 3 yards

Still close, but I'm leaning towards Grbac, turnover prone though he may be.

Injury Report
MLB Randy Kirk - Separated Shoulder - Out - 5 Weeks

...Well that's inconvenient. TE Craig Thompson gets a pink slip, Alex Gordon steps back into his old starting role and MLB Richard Brown, freshly cut from the Colts, takes over as the reserve MLB.

Game #3
Cincinnati 5 Tampa Bay 14
Cool safety by DT Mike Golic, but RB Marcus Allen pours salt in the wounds by carrying the ball 27 times for 136 yards. Way to waste the gas left in your high-priced old FA, Bucs. Man I hope they don't repeat the playoffs. Terrific 3 sack game from DE Danny Stubbs and I'm just going to ride rookie QB Elvis Grbac. We suck anyway.

SLB Kevin Greene - Pulled Calf Muscle - Out - 4 Weeks
DT Tim Krumrie - Strained Triceps Muscle - Questionable - 4 Weeks

...3 defensive starters hurt, 2 of our LBs out. Just fucking wonderful. As if my day hasn't been shit enough. WR Milt Stegall and 7th round pick G Greg Bishop get cut for veteran WR Fred Banks and youngster pass-rush OLB Terry Crews. Rookie DT Alphonso Taylor slides in as starting DT and Alfred Williams is the new starting SLB. Banks takes over the 4th WR spot.

Game #4
Dallas 20 Cincinnati 23
Despite Jerome Bettis fumbling twice, we win because Wade Wilson goes 13/16 for 161 yards, 2 TDs and an INT. OLB James Francis got 1.5 sacks and CB Marquez Pope, who's having a terrific preseason, broke up 2 passes.

Injury Report
RG Ken Moyer - Broken Tibia - Out - 6 Weeks

Heh. At least it was a backup this time. I just go ahead and put him on the IR. His replacement is G Joe Stasyniak, a 4th year man who started for the Chiefs last year, and who sucked horribly.

I'm getting tired now, so I should probably stop here for the night.
