I've never owned a gun. Does that change things at all? Gun ownership is only one factor in the dictatorship issue at all, but it's also clearly one targeted by dictators in the past. Therefore it is
a factor which contributes to adding a cost to oppression.

Absolutely true. There are many types of restrictions permissible, indeed many currently on the books. Simultaneously, there are also types of restrictions which would indeed violate said right.
