I'm pretty sure I own a CD copy of the a-ha album Scoundrel Days, and definitely recall "The Sun Always Shines on TV" as some degree of a single. Alas, I don't hate them making the list, but in my mind that detracts from this song as the pinnacle of the form.
Even if "Take on Me" is by the numbers a bigger song than "Come on Eileen," I'd still vote for the latter for the (at least in America) utter lack of any second appearance whatsoever from DMR. Hell, they're even the Simpsons punchline, that counts for something, right?
