We signed a non-pass-rusher DL,
Jamie Hernandez. I am thin at LB already, and I'm arguably overpaying a guy at DT. This guy could certainly fit into either spot, with some weight change (not sure what he's open to there). So, he's my standard no-bonus, "team option" player - fits our chem scheme, and could possibly stick if certain other things don't click.
We do some renegotiations, but LB Shaw and CB Herndon, both priority guys to lock up, are going to take more $ than I had hoped.
On the list of pending offers, BAL is only showing up as pursuing cheapo players, befitting our cap situation. At this point, part of a "go for it" plan would be, as a benefit maximizer, that I want big affinities from pretty much every inactive player. So, I'm looking around for guys who can fit that bill, at least for one season. No skills necessarily, no upward trajectory, just play tiddlywinks with the guys.
