GRPA State Championship - July 27th @ Lanier Aquatics

This will be the last meet of the Summer Season and as soon as this meet is over we'll have several weeks away from the pool.

Brett is the only one swimming in this event, as he was the only one to qualify at County. However, Bailey should have made it on the C Free Relay. 12 Girls make up the 3 relay teams, and Bailey was 13th in time of the girls that had stated they wanted to participate in this event. However, 1 of the girls that was marked as wanting to go, actually didn't want to. The coach marked it, and then the coach never bothered to check or ask, until the roster for the team was already submitted to the state and couldn't be changed. Bailey isn't too disappointed, just knowing she could have been there made her feel good...


200 Yard Medley Relay - Brett is on the B team with 3 other very good swimmers, and they are currently seeded 2nd in this event behind the county's A team.

50 Breast - Brett's 37.53 time is seeded 10th. If he can beat 2 people, he could get into the final 8 and earn an individual medal. This is very possible as 2 swimmers are .05 seconds faster or less...and several more are only tenths of a second faster.

200 Yard Free Relay - Brett is on the C Relay, so they won't be going to the finals here, but it's good for him to swim something at this meet that isn't Breaststroke...
