Notable Retirements:

Dirk hangs it up after 20 years at the age of 40. Will it stick?

Pau Gasol retires after 17 years in the league.

Danny Granger retires at 35 years old.

David Lee retires at age 35.

Dirk is the only one to make the HOF from the group.

Time for the draft lottery:

The Pelicans have the best chance at the #1 pick. The Celtics via the Nets have the worst chance of the lottery picks. The Nets via that same trade have the 4th best chance....

The Lakers get the 13th pick via the Bucks. Wow, the rich get richer.

The Knicks beat the Odds to jump up to the #1 pick!

The Nets get the #2 pick via the CEltics.

Hawks are 3rd.

Pelicans 4th (poor luck)

Spurs are 5th.

We have the 20th pick via a prio trade with the Magic and 27th pick via a trade with the Hornets...

Player options:

We exercise a 2 year option on Jimmy Cowen and a 1 year option on Havel Bajza.

The big FA's are:

Durant at age 29 who is looking ro one last big pay day...

Anthony at age 34 who is definitely looking at his last significant pay day...

C Jonas Valancuiunas.

We have several notable FA's of our own:

Turner, Butler, and Moultrie are all FA's.

Clark and Rod Cowens are also FA's who are determined to test FA...

Turner and Butler both want big deals. I'm going to see how that plays out...

Moultrie wants too much too. We are going to roll the dice and wait...

The draft combine shows some interesting results:

Leroy Dillon is not expected to go high in the draft, but he was the top 3 point shooter at the combine. I'll keep my eye on the 6'6 guard.

SF Corie Huestis isn't expecting to be a lottery pick but he was the #2 shooter in the draft. I want some dead eye shooters. The 6'8 250 pound SF from UNC is very intriguing.

I worked out Dillon and am definitely interested in him with one of our 1st round picks... the kid has liabilities but he is a pure shooter...

Time for the draft....
