I take a look at some of the coaches that got the better jobs last year. My OVR coach rating is a B. Kermit Davis, taking over BC from Kent State, is an A-, as is Billy Taylor, taking over UNC from Ball State.
2 of the ACC's coaches are B+, and Dino Gaudio at Wake Forest is a B- coach.
Looking in the A-10, a couple coaches have B ratings but nothing below that, and most are B+/A- level coaches. Its looking like I still need a little more to go my way to have the best shot at upgrading to a bigger school.
The best news for me here is that I have 193 career wins, so another advance is a guarentee at the end of this season.
Looking at other goals:
Sign a 5 star recruit - seems highly unlikely at Ohio. miami OH brought in a 5* JC transfer one year though.
Assemble a top 20 recruiting class - Oh, I thought it was top 25. Still, we pulled in the #33 class last year. If we could swing two 4* recruits in a class we might have a shot at this.
Coach a team to the sweet 16 - We may have to accomplish this before I can leave Ohio.
