Some good ideas in this thread. I even discovered I had purchased 2 of the books on Kindle several years ago and had forgotten about them.

I'm starting to tackle the Witcher series written by Andrzej Sapkowski. I'm going with the 2 short story collections first as those serve to introduce the character/setting before the main series begins.
