2023-24 Barclays Premier League - Team Stats

-- Once again, we were by FAR the top scoring team in the Premier League and our 107 goals sets a brand new Premier League record! Zoltan Bardi’s late goal against Villa put us one goal ahead of Manchester City’s 106 goals in the 2018/19 season. After a couple years of finishing fifth in goals against, we improve to 2nd in the league with only 32 conceded, three more than Manchester City’s 29. We improve upon our record of 40 goals against by a whopping 8 goals. Our +75 goal differential is pretty ridiculous but isn’t a record - City had a +76 mark in 2019/20 and 2020/21.

-- Our average attendance vaulted up to 21,399, way up from last year’s average of 18,231. We had numerous sellouts (seven in our 19 league home games) and my main focus in the offseason will be to talk to the board about a NEW STADIUM, as our current stadium looks to be at max capacity. We also moved way up in Average Attendance by Capacity, moving up to 9th from 14th last year with a 93% total (last year it was 78%).

-- Other key team stats: we were T-2nd in penalty goals with 6 (down from a division leading 10 last year), 1st in goals from corners with 27 (WAY up from 9 last year when we finished 7th in the category), T-2nd in goals from IFK's with 9 (up from 7 last year when we finished 6th) and we were T2nd in goals from DFKs with 2 (same total as last year which placed us T4th). We were among the most gentlemanly clubs in the league, finishing T-18th with only 42 yellow cards (down from last year’s total of 55 which was 8th) while our red card tally was ZERO, which tied us with Man City as the only two teams without a red card in the league. Simply put, we KICKED ASS in the league in all categories this year!

2023-24 Barclays Premier League - Player Stats

-- 19 players participated in all 38 games across the league but none of them were from our club, as we rotated our squad more than we ever have due to cup ties and continental play. In past years, we usually had guys play in 37 of our games, as Salim Loucif did last year. This year? Our “iron-man” was Paul Moses with appearances in 32 of our 38 league games. WOW - that’s a lot of rotating that I did!!!
