He surrendered only 2 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 2.97 to 2.67. After the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score. Jose Mendez(3-5) was the loser. 'I thought it was my best performance in a long time,' said Nielsen. 'I had good command early in the game. I had my control and composure and everything went well.'
