CL Announces June's Best Starter

The Continental League named the winner of the Pitcher of the Month Award.
It went to
Ryosei Kato of
Halifax Winter Wolves, who impressed the voters with a glittering 5-0 record in June.
The
Halifax star hurler made 6 starts, allowed 33 hits in 45.1 innings, struck out 25 and had a 1.99 ERA.
This year
Kato has fanned 59 in 100.1 innings and collected a 6-2 record with a 4.13 ERA.
RL Top Pitcher in June: Harris

"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Earl Harris put together a very solid month to take home the Republic League's top pitching honor in June.
The 23-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 11 relief appearances he raked in 6 saves and 12 strikeouts in 16.1 innings as he put together his 4-0 record and 1.10 ERA.
Harris has 17 saves this season with a won-lost record of 5-1 and 2.13 ERA.
