General Update - Brett
So Brett's run of bad luck continues. Ever since he got really sick on the travel meet over the summer Brett has had to deal with one thing after another. This time he came into our bedroom about 4 A.M. yesterday morning (Wednesday) complaining about pain in his stomach. He said initially his whole stomach hurt but now it was just the one side.
I asked, "Which side"
"Right"
"Is it right above your hip?"
"Yes"
"Ok, time to go to the emergency room."
Sure enough it was his appendix, which he had removed at about 11:30. The good news, it hadn't ruptured so it was a pretty textbook operation according to the surgeon. He spent the night at the hospital (had a reaction to the contrast for the CT Scan which was a big reason he didn't go home the first night), but he's doing ok. Not sure yet how long he'll be out of the pool.
