Georgia High School Athletic 6-7 A State Championships - RESULTS

#3 Boys 200 Yard Freestyle : 1:53.13 - 50/62 - This ended up being a bad swim for Bear...according to his year round coach (who was there watching) he apparently took it out really fast, keeping up with the rest of the swimmers, but his lack of a full taper caused him to tire down the stretch. He posted a 1:57.48

#15 Boys 500 Yard Freestyle : 5:03.10 - 32/61 - Here Bear took it out quick again, then he started falling off the pace. Only this time he kicked it back into gear. His opening 100 was a 57.77, then he posted 1:01.95 and 1:01.59...followed by 59.81 and 58.60...to post a 4:59.72. As I mentioned in the pre-race write up, the seed times aren't personal bests, just fastest time in a high school meet...well in this case he just missed his personal best time of 4:59.71...

#23 Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay : 3:36.44 - 39/53 - In the relay Bear had a nice split of 52.98...
