Accuracy is about YAC, so it's not a huge deal when throwing downfield. The nebulous "broken plays" aspect of timing has always been very cloudy to me. I've had several QBs with low timing who throw down the field quite well. Duncan's timing is 17, according to my scout.
As far as the comment about Sigsbee being on no one's radar, my problem was that he had the top current rating of any QB still on the board at that point. If anyone had said, "Hmmmm...I better just get the best-rated QB" at any time in the next 52 picks before mine, Sigsbee would have been gone.
