Northern Division Meet - Day 1

400 IM – 5:20.19 – I wasn't present for Brett's race, as I was downtown for Bear's, so all I can do is evaluate the numbers, but they are interesting. To begin, Brett's best 100 Fly is a 1:22.18, but in this race he opened with a 100 Fly time of 1:19.79...so obviously his fly is getting stonger as he's dropped 2.5 seconds in about a month. His 1:18.58 back was his personal best as recently as September for that stroke. He was able to fight out a 1:23 breast and he closed with a 1:11 free...He dropped 8.5 seconds for a personal best time of 5:12.60
