Week 2 vs New England:

We opened the game on a positive note as DeAndre Henson put together a good opening drive and hit Myles Orenstein for a TD. The Pats answered with a TD drive and then after some back and forth failed drives they broke in with another solid drive and a TD. Right before halftime though Gene Correia made a pick 6. Getting the ball at the half we drove right down and got a FG to take the 17-14 lead. The pats put together a 13 play drive to score a TD to answer but as soon as we got the ball back Patrick Rodgers broke a long run leaving us up 24-20. In the 4th quarter we added a FG on 3 straight drives as our defense held strong and we won 33-20.

DeAndre Henson went 14/25 for 179 yards and ran 3 times for 24 yards but lost both a fumble and a pick. Patrick Rodgers ran 17 times for 124 yards and a TD. Myles Orenstein caught 4 passes for 66 yards on 6 targets and scored a TD.

Joseph McCrary made 12 tackles and Taylor Cates added 10. Conner Raymond had 7 with a sack. Rookies Dashawn Mallow and Justin Aleman split a sack and each forced a fumble and Tommy Criswell recovered one. Gene Correia had a pick 6.

Morris Alcott won player of the game going 4 for 4 including a 54 yard kick and making all 3 XPs.
