--Lance Russell interviews Austin Idol and Jimmy Hart about their underhanded tactics in their win over Lawler at River Rumble. Idol ignores him and says he feels so good that he is making an open challenge to the first person that walks through the curtain and he knows that Lawler is not in the arena. The Junkyard Dog makes his debut as Idol and Hart are panicking. Russell says it looks like we have a match as Idol and Hart angrily retreat. (B+, 85)

--Steve Williams def. Phil Hickerson in 5:57 by pinfall after an Oklahoma Stampede. (B-, 73) The match featured great wrestling and decent heat. After the match, Williams hypes his debut in the CWA, saying his goal is to win the AWA Southern Heavyweight title. (C+, 66)

--Bobby Eaton and Koko Ware def. Roger Smith and Don Bass in 9:01 when Eaton pinned Bass following an Alabama Jam. (B-, 74) After their win, Eaton and Ware challenge Randy Savage and the partner of his choosing to a tag team match on next week’s show. (C-, 53)

--Ricky Morton hypes his upcoming match with Norman Frederick Charles III and says he has his eyes on CWA gold in the near future. (C-, 60)

--Ricky Morton def. Norman Frederick Charles III in 5:37 by pinfall after a missile dropkick.

--Dutch Mantell comes out and gives a scathing promo directed at Bill Dundee, saying it was too bad his 11-year old runt kid didn’t see him get beat in the middle of the ring at River Rumble. Dundee bolts from the locker room and attacks Mantell, sending him over the announcer’s table. A host of jobbers come out to break it up. (C, 62)

--Jerry Lawler gives a prerecorded interview from his home. He tells Idol and Hart to watch their backs in the upcoming weeks and promises fans he will be back better than ever soon. (B-, 72)

--Randy Savage w/Angelo Poffo def. Jerry Stubbs in 6:40 by pinfall after a flying elbow drop. (B-, 73) After the match, Savage makes his way to the announcer’s table. Savage says he’s already proven his superiority over both Eaton and Ware but will have a partner ready for next week. (B+, 85)

AWA Southern Heavyweight Title Match
--Austin Idol and the Junkyard Dog fought to a double stoppage at 16:36 as referee Jerry Calhoun lost control of the match. (B, 82) Idol retains the AWA Southern Heavyweight Title. The match had superb wrestling and great heat.
