After the hunger pangs of the last few days, people get out and fetch enough food today. There's not enough left for tomorrow, but at least tonight you have a full belly.

However, no one pays any attention to the shelter tonight. It's still sturdy, but without any maintenance it starts to let in a bit of the rain. Not quite as pleasant as it has been.

Between the challenge, sufficient food and a workable shelter, you each lose three health points.
