I pay so much money for training and meets, hours traveling, then spend hours sitting there waiting for the maybe 5 minutes total she competes... and even then I only side watch because I'm terrified she'll fall and maybe get hurt.

She was in the beginning of level 6 season when she started feeling pain. Doc was hopeful it would resolve with decreased training but she ended up needing surgery. Basically a wasted year and a big setback for her. Good thing is the fire is back, but like you said, some girls just get that mental block. I don't blame her in the slightest, I would have never attempted 90% of the things she does.

Kids man. Now I wonder, did my dad feel the same when I stopped baseball to focus on soccer, a sport he didn't understand in the slightest.
