Two legendary coaches have decided to retire this spring.
Joseph Strickland decides that winning a national championship is the best final scene he could write. Coach Strickland, who coached West Virginia from the beginning of this dynasty, retires at #17 on the career wins list, with 434 victories to his credit.
Daniel Chouinard is also going to hang up his whistle. The first coach with 500 career victories to retire, Coach Chouinard concludes his career with a 508-158 record, 10 conference championships, and an NCAA title to his credit. Coach Chouinard spent the last three seasons at Vanderbilt after a glorious 13-season run at Illinois, where he won the 2014 NCAA title.
Both West Virginia and Vanderbilt offer Coach Sims their head coaching positions, but he's not going anywhere.
Dario Ferreira, however, is. Coach Ferreira accepts the top job at Davidson, which means we'll be looking for a Coaching Assistant this spring.
We decide to hire
George Doyle, a well-traveled veteran assistant who is known as an expert in coaching offense.
