Incidentally, the stud fre agent DE who became available also went to Las Vegas -- thei sign him with a $10 million bonus, but he will only hit their cap for $3m for each of the next two years.
La Vegas looks like a team in "win now" mode, but they are currently without a very impressive lineup at QB. It looks like their approach will be to try out different guys there, but my scout doesn't rate any of them over 50... so I have trouble seeing this team making a really big run this season without improvement there. Perhaps this is more of an effort to use the team's considerable cap space, rather than a pure "win now" gesture.
