Preparation for Final Preseason Game

We have our roster set, and we’re ready for the last preseason game. We have more players than we can carry, and some of these final cuts will be difficult. Several players can probably only make the team by getting injured and placed onto IR. Fun times.

I also have to keep in mind the possibility that there will be some decent players cast off by other teams at this phase. I need to remain open to the possibility that we will actually want to sign a player or two soon, meaning yet another cut from our roster to make room.

We’ll see – tonight we run the final preseason games, so we will be simultaneously asking for minor injuries in selected spots, and perhaps a few performances to help me make final decisions.
