Team Awards
Off. Player of the Year: RB Dana Abrams. My first, solid RB year here for the Chiefs, had the best receiving year of any back in the NFL, plus a 1200+ rushing year, and an All Pro to show for it. Good job Abrams!
Defensive Player of the year: DE Amos Burton. Sorry Flemming, gotta eventually go with someone else! Burton led my team in sacks and notched his first All Pro doing so. Thanks Amos!
Special Teams Player of the Year: P Derek Grandon – I took a bit of a risk by drafting him when I had a solid 58/58 guy on my squad, but I think we’re all happy now!
Rookie of the Year: C Randall Sandmeyer -A 1st round highly touted OT gets drafted and starts year 1, no surprise. A 5th year OC does and it’s something. And Sandmeyer made it rain KRBs without being a sack-sieve.
Heart Award: CB Henderson – He lost a step. He was demoted to Nickelback two years ago. And yet this aging wonder had 1.5 sacks, 3 picks, and 7 pasdef. He gets results. Thanks Damon!
