Yeah, we waited a few days too long for this one. He was the first cat my wife ever got on her own, so I had to wait until she was ready. And I had to take him in, 'cause she'da never been able to. I was only fractionally better.
17 years is a damn good run though.
edit: In other news, broke the news to the kids tonight. 8 year old took it *hard*. 5 year old not so much.
