My genius company has implemented a tiered system of insurance next year. So you pay more based upon what salary band in. And of course, it's not a flat cutoff, no scaling or anything.
So ...
1) People at the bottom edge of a salary band get good and fucked.
2) God help you if you're on the cusp, and get a raise that bumps you into the next tier. You'd actually get a raise and be paid quite a bit less.
