Liverpool have spent 30 million to buy 23 year old midfielder Philippe Durand from Mallorca.

Matias Cahais has requested to be transfer listed

I can't blame him. I haven't used him much. The 27 year old centreback is good, but not superb. I'll use him more this year if he doesn't get transferred, but I'm expecting to eventually transfer him. He still has 3 years on his deal.

James McFadden has also requested that he be transfer listed. I agree to his request, but am hopeful that he might rescind it.

Even though he is 32, he is still a good striker.
