Steve Victory JOURNAL – Final Four 2027

As it turns out, Georgetown is for real. The 20-17 Hoyas push the injury-laden Wolfpack to the limit. The game comes down to the wire before center Brandon Collins sinks a couple of clutch free throws in the final seconds to seal it. Final score: State 70, Georgetown 69. A nailbiter, but NCSU is now 40-0!

Collins has an amazing night for the Pack. He scores 19 points and rips down 15 rebounds in one of his best games of the year. Jalen Hemphill adds 17, new starter Calvin Cartsensen pumps in 14.

Illinois beats Mississippi State 79-71 and the 2027 NCT title game is set. It’s going to be a rematch of the Alaska Challenge championship, played way back in November. State won that game 91-62 but a lot has happened since then. And this game has a lot more at stake. For Victory and the Wolfpack – the chance to finish 41-0 and garner the school’s third consecutive national championship (Victory’s fourth as a head coach)… For Illnois, the chance to win its second title in six years time... A true clash of heavyweights...
