Both teams had 447 yards, but WSU had a 32-18 advantage on first downs. They also held the ball for 35 minutes.

Too many field goals today. I'm very impressed with Ellis for making 3 40+ field goals in the 2nd half of a close game, but we needed TDs on some of those drives. And the interception came at a brutal point in the game. We, of course, forced zero turnovers.

Putzier finished with 36 carries for 166 yards and 2 TDs against us. We had done a pretty nice job against the run most of the year - particularly when we were missing our free safeties.

McAddley had 4 pancakes.

Thelwell had a big day, with 7 catches (on 8 throws to him) for 144 yards and a TD.

DT Roger Parsons had 5 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2 stuffs.
DE Doug Grant had a pair of sacks.

We were 3-11 on 3rd downs and WSU was 9-15. I think that was a pretty big stat, along with the 0 turnovers.
