Kuniyoshi Sato emerged as the latest Continental League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from
Noblesville deserved the honor, batting .313 with 10 home runs and 20 runs batted in. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let
Sato enjoy the limelight.
Thus far this year Sato is batting .279 with 19 home runs, 54 RBIs and 45 runs scored.
Burns Snags Rookie of Month Trophy

John Burns was named Rookie of the Month in the Republic League.
Last month
Burns posted a .343 average with 35 hits, 8 home runs and 24 RBIs.
Looking at his present stats,
Burns has compiled a .322 batting average in 70 games with a .342 on-base percentage, while hitting 17 home runs and driving in 53 runs.
