I seem to recall an ancient tome that refers to the annis. It was classification of evil hag. You are, indeed, fortunate to have emerged the victor in your conflagration, for I believe that the annis is quite magical in nature and can assume a variety of different disguises.

The book I read, I remember, was bound with this old leather -- at least it had the feel for leather, but you know oftentimes these ancient books are bound in the hides of other animals. In my own library I have bindings in the hides of at least 47 different animals. You'd think that the calfskin would be the most supple, but I actually have one bound in the hide of the rare Abynesian goat that has texture that is almost otherworldly.

Perhaps it is otherworldly. I must consider this possibility. If you'll all excuse me.
