Cardiff @ Ipswich

We're 5:4 favorites today, they're 7:4 to get this win. Our coaches tell us that we're better in most areas but that Cardiff are the faster team. Cardiff are in their 15th straight year in the Championship. They finished 7th twice and last year finished 5th to make the playoffs for the first time ever. This gives Ipswich a long history against them with success, going 9-1-5 lifetime. Ipswich won both meetings last year.

Zeki Fryers was bitching about his playing time after the last match and Gudmundsson could stand a day off, so Fryers gets a start out left in defense. Berthet, Brown and Lewis are back in at DR/DC/ST. Standard mindset today at the start.

14': We have a free kick near midfield, there's a couple very quick nifty passes, Berthet to Gordon to Bennett who puts it into the area, Matthew Khan runs onto it perfectly and beats the keeper! 1-0 That was the first shot for either team.

16': We give up two corners, on one of them one of their men gets hurt sending in a cross. On the second one they cross into the area and Frederico heads it near post by Murphy for a goal. We didn't' defend that very well. 1-1

26': They have a throwin from near midfield, there's one pass ahead to midfielder Ledley and he strikes it from 30 yards away, bending around two of our men and into the upper corner of the net, a beautiful strike that no one could stop. 1-2

32': We change to an attacking mindset.

41': We turn it over in midfield and allow them to set up their offense, there's a cross in from the left and their injured man Walker has a header from about 10 yards out that was really poorly defended, but he puts it over. It was their first clear cut chance and we got lucky.

HALF: Berthet 5.7, Brown 5.6, Gordon 5.7, Lewis 5.8. We're playing like shit out there. I tell them I expect better from them. They've shot 6 times to our 3. They're winning everything in the air today, other stats are pretty near even.

51': We earn a corner, its taken to the near man Bruce, he gets himself a shot and its a clear cut chance, he puts it near post but with very ltitle pace and the keeper is able to make the save.

68': Walker in for a tired Bennett, no highlights at all for awhile.

75': Gudmunsson in for Paulo. He moves to DC, Bruce up to MC which he plays pretty well.

87': We have a throwin in their end, they cut out a through ball and try to counter attack, getting many men forward and earning a corner. We've just got nothing here. Our inability to attack has been very frustrating this half.

89': Fryers with a yellow.

93': We get a throwin in their end for what might be our last chance. Its taken to Berthet, ahead to Gordon, he crosses into the area... we've really got no one there, but their defender who goes up to clear it out botches a header, and the ball falls straight to Khan in the area. Khan strikes it and buries it!! A very weird, cheap goal that we will happily take to get us a point! 2-2

Ipswich 2 : 2 Cardiff

We were not the better team today. Cardiff dominated that entire second half and we got a ridiculous fluke goal to tie it up late.

All the guys that struggled so bad in the first half recovered to at least put up 6.5 ratings or better.

Today the fans are pleased with a result that I think could have been better, weird!
