Stoke(5-1-2, 4th) @ Ipswich(6-2-1, 2nd)

We're 4:5 favorites today, Stoke is 3:1 to get a win. Stoke is a favorite to promote. Stoke has spent 6 of the last 10 seasons in the EPL. Three times they've been demoted, the first two times they promoted back up in the first year. Last year they finished 4th in the Championship but weren't able to win the playoffs to get back up. We're 1-1-2 against them lifetime. Last year the road team won both games.

GK: Murphy
D: Kirkland/Brown/Gudmundsson/Berthet
DMC: Bruce
MC: Donnelly/Bennett
AMC: Coutts
ST: Khan/Constantino

We move DC Bruce up to DMC today, Coutts is in at AMC to give a couple of our more tired guys a break today. Another standard mindset today.

18': Coutts puts a through ball into the area, Constantino is there and he has a clear cut chance on the first shot of the day, but he puts it wide, ugly effort there.

27': We have a large amount of buildup, working the ball from left to right looking for an opening. Khan has it out left and puts a ball into the middle of the penalty area, there's 3 of our attackers and 4 defenders right around the edge of the penalty box, Bennett is the one that breaks on it, he's first there and beats the keeper for a goal! 1-0

43': They move the ball forward down the right side, there's a cross into the 6 yard box, Murphy doesn't defend it well, leaning to the near side of the goal when the cross is going far post, they win the header and the goal is near wide open, they're able to put it in and that ends our shutout streak. 1-1

HALF: We've got 6 shots, they have 5. Both teams put 2 on target. We've got a 56/44 possession edge, we're passing and tackling very well compared to them, but ratings and attacks are really close to even all around. Gudmundsson took the blame for the goal we gave up, losing out on a header I suppose, and he's got a 5.5 rating.

61': We get the early attack, shooting 3 times but nothing really threatening, but Stoke has taken over the attack here, again nothing on target but a few shots by Stoke in the last few minutes. We just gave them a free kick from 25 yards out but they put the shot way over.

63': They get forward again, one of their attackers makes a nice move on Brown to get an open shot, Murphy makes a good save though.

72': Kirkland is hurt and he goes off the field for treatment.

77': Fryers comes in for Kirkland, Gordon in for Coutts.

80': We try to attack the final 10 minutes here.

86': They get a break after we lose the ball in the midfield. Midfielder simpson takes it down the left side, crosses into the area, their star striker Adrian is there and heads it in. He just got down there faster than our defense.

91': We earn a corner, its taken to Gudmundsson, he fires a shot and the keeper has to dive to save it, turns it behind for a second corner. They clear that one out.

We just couldn't quite hold this one today. Sucks to lose at home but its hard to complain after 6 straight wins.

Ipswich 1 : 2 Stoke

One of their defenders who picked up an assist is man of the match today.

Goal: Bennett (7.9)
Assist: Khan (7.1)
Notables: Kirkland (7.2)

Brown 5.9, Gudmundsson 5.6, Constantino 5.9. We struggled a bit out there today.

We dodge another injury as Kirkland is just fine.
