Ipswich(7-4-2, 5th) @ QPR(10-1-2, 1st)

Well here's one we really don't expect to win. QPR demoted down to the Championship after 4 years in the EPL, finishing as high as 13th once. We're 3:1 dogs today, QPR are 4:5 to win at home. We're 2-4-2 lifetime against them.

GK: Murphy
D: Kirkland/Brown/Bruce/Berthet
DMC: Paulo
MC: Donnelly/Bennett
AMC: Gordon
ST: Khan/Constantino

QPR score a lot, Colin Meade and Javier Arizmendi both have 9 goals and Enrico Rocchini has 6, all three of their leading scorers have more goals than our top guys (Constantino/Khan have 5 each). We defend today.

2': They have a corner, its taken near post, there's a header over the bar... and Bennett comes down injured, ugh. He can stay in, but he's got that injury symbol that indicates that he could have something past this match.

17': Its all QPR so far, but just headers over/with no chance.

25': We have a goal kick after their 4th shot goes wide. Murphy takes it long... Constantino sprints by one of their central defenders and controls the ball perfectly at the 18 yard mark. He takes a step into the area and beats their keeper for a goal!!! Big mistake by their defense and a great burst of speed by Constantino. 1-0

43': We've got it in the midfield, Bennett plays a long ball into the area, Constantino again breaks by their defense and looks to have a free run at the keeper... but this time his first touch is poor and the ball flies ahead and the keeper picks it up easily.

HALF: We shoot 3 times, just one on target. I didn't see the other two in our highlights. QPR shoots 6 times, all from inside the penalty area, but only one was on target, that one on target shot was not really good either, most of them are weak headers off crosses. I'm of course worried that it just takes one solid header, one spot of poor positioning for them to tie it up. Troy Brown has been everywhere, Alex Bruce is missing a lot of headers and only has a few passes, he's got a 5.7 rating for now, Matthew Khan a 5.9.

53': We're trying to get a shot, a litle buildup, the ball goes out left to Khan, he sends it back to Kirkland... ahead to Khan, he's still 25 yards out and way left, passed to Gordon, he tries a through ball, but a defender blocks it. Khan rushes onto it, he's still 20+ yards out, and he says screw it and fires. The ball bends towards the far post, the keeper dives, he gets to the ball, but can't hold it, the ball squirts through/around the keeper and into the net!!! 2-0

55': They push hard to get one back, there's a ball into the area for one of their strikers, and he sends it just left, not a clear cut chance but I thought it should have been.

71': Yellow for Rocchini.

75': Gudmundsson in for Gordon, moves to DC for a 5 man back line. Coutts in for Bennett.

85': Khan picks up an injury, ugggh. Another key player we'll worry about after the match.

90': they earn a corner, we clear and Khan commits a foul about 30 yards out. They take a shot on the free kick but its wide.

An incredible win on the road against the clear favorite in the league!

QPR 0 : 2 Ipswich

QPR has 12 shots today but just 1 on target all match. We really did an incredible job preventing them from getting good looks here today. We had a couple breaks to get our goals and totally made the most of them.

Man of the Match: Stuart Kirkland (7.7)
Goals: Matthew Khan (7.6), Constantino (7.1)
Assists: Murphy (7.6), Gordon (6.9)
Notables: Brown (7.1)

Alex Bruce is 7 for 20 on headers, 5/8 passing, 2 interceptions. Kinda a bad game really, and a 6.0 rating. Its really surprising that we could have a defender put up numbers like that against a good team and still do as well as we did.

-- Matthew Khan has a bruised rib after that last match. He's out another 5-7 days.

Our win over QPR pulls them back in line with the rest of the playoff teams. We're in 4th with 28 points. Hull in 5th has 28 as well. QPR has 31 to lead the league. 5 teams within 3 points of 1st place, fun fun!
