6 days!!!

Sorry, just happy that I only have 6 days left!!! While it's been a very rough stretch and I am completely physically and mentally exhausted it has had one fun moment.

The property was hosting a night of boxing and they comped us tickets. Not only tickets, but great tickets. We sat right next to the ring girls!!!!

We saw 3 MMA fights and 8 boxing matches. The match that was supposed to be the biggest was George Foreman's son. Unfortunately that fight was a sham. He fought some guy that looked like he just got picked out of line from the buffet and was as old as his father. He went down three times in the first round and the final time it looked like he wasn't even touched.

His father entered the ring after the fight for photos and talked with the fans on the way out. Unfortunately the corner he was in was not the one what walked past us. I did see him in the lobby of the hotel when he had arrived a couple days prior. Seems like a really nice guy.

The best fight was a local guy, who as we found out later works in the steak house at the casino. The entire place was cheering him on and we were about to until we heard that the other guy was from Philly. We were the only 4 people in there cheering for him and he ended up winning in a decision. It was fun though as a couple people from the property were sitting with us and we were light heartedly exchanging "verbal jabs" during the match. The local guy was cool though and gave us fist bumps as he walked by on the way out (quasi fist bumps as his hands were still taped). I ended up seeing the guy from Philly the next day as he was checking out of the hotel and talked with him a bit. Still have no clue what his name was as I wasn't paying attention until I heard from Philly during the introduction.

The MMA fights were not that great, especially since it was in a boxing ring and they kept almost falling out. Two of them were amateur and one was some guy names Nick Mitchell (if I remember correctly). He played it up big time as he entered and he won easily over a push over (he was ripped beyond belief and the other guy looked like he was better suited to be playing in a slow pitch softball beer league).

This was the first MMA fights that I have seen live. It is amazing how hard they are hitting. You see it on TV but hearing it in person was eye opening, wow.

Oh well, back to the WW stuff. I will be back next week but sit out of the Autumn game as I will probably be busy with getting back to my normal schedule and life. I'll do the next game afterwards if I read the list correctly. It's going to be WW2 themed and someone will be the leader of the 3rd Reich.
