8 minute mark: Godoy takes a free kick from midpitch.. he finds Marchetti just outside the box.. Marchetti shoots.. upper right corner.. curving slightly.. the keeper dives.. it's past him! GOAL!!!! 1-0.

26 minute mark: Ortega steals it from the left back.. centers it to Adriano just inside the box.. he shoots.. over the bar.

29 minute mark: Conte and Cardozo collide.. Cardozo is hurt.. he is screaming in agony. He has to be carried off the pitch. O'Shea on for cardozo.

36 minute mark: Downing dribbles down the left sideline.. crosses it to the far post.. Adriano heads it.. the keeper dives.. tips it over the bar.

44 minute mark: Howard stops a point blank shot from Cole.


Halftime: 1-0 lead.



52 minute mark: Ortega gets a yellow card for a push on their defender.

56 minute mark: Downing passes it to Parker outside the box.. he heads it to Rooney inside the box.. Rooney shoots from 15 yards out.. lower right corner.. GOAL!!!! 2-0.

75 minute mark: Fletcher on for Parker and Wright on for Rooney.

82 minute mark: Fletcher passes to Adriano in the box.. he shoots.. upper left corner.. the keeper dives.. tips it over the bar.

87 minute mark: Ortega dribbles up the right sideline.. he centers it to the far post.. wright heads it.. upper left corner.. it hits off the post.. and into the net! GOAL!!!! 3-0.

90 minute mark: Howard stops a long shot from Momo.
