Pre Show
--Paul Morton is showing signs of selfish behavior in the locker room. A stern warning has improved his behavior.

--Lance Russell interviews promoter Eddie Marlin. He tells the audience that the Idol/Lawler match stipulations are Lawler’s inability to challenge for the Southern title over the next six months if Idol holds it. It will also be a no disqualification match. (C, 62)

--Austin Idol and Jimmy Hart come out and confront Marlin over Lawler’s vicious attack last week. Marlin and Idol have words and Idol decks Marlin with Hart looking on in shock. Lawler runs out and makes the save on Marlin as Hart pulls Idol away from the ringside area. (C+, 69)

NWA Mid-America Title Match
--Wendell Cooley def. Troy Graham w/Jimmy Hartin 5:49 by pinfall with a Wildcat Slam. (C, 62) Cooley makes his first defense of the Mid-America title. After the match, Adrian Street saunters out and challenges “Gwendolyn” for the Mid-America championship at Crowning Glory in 12 days. (C, 61)

--Jerry Lawler hypes his upcoming title match with Austin Idol, warning Jimmy Hart of some big surprises if any of the First Family decide to interfere in their match.

--Bill Dundee def. Sabu the Wildman in 6:10 by pinfall with a sunset flip. (B-, 75) After the match, Dundee challenges Dutch Mantell to a match at Crowning Glory. Jim Cornette approaches the announce table and accepts Dundee’s challenge. (C+, 66)

--Eddie Marlin comes back out and tells Lance Russell that as a result of earlier events in the show, he has added one stipulation to the Idol/Lawler match: If Idol loses, he must leave town for at least six months. Idol and Hart storm out and are enraged with the decision. Idol says that if he loses, he is taking the Southern belt with him. (B-, 72)

–Norvell Austin def. Jerry Stubbs in 7:44 by pinfall. (B-, 75)

--Lance Russell interviews Junkyard Dog and Steve Williams. JYD and Williams warn Hart and the Moondogs not to get involved in the title match later. (B-, 72)

--A music video with the Fabulous Ones is shown. They are doing such things as flexing for the camera and chopping wood. (C, 64)

--The Sheepherders def. Bobby Eaton and Koko Ware in 12:20 by countout after Randy Savage and Lanny Poffo both distracted both Eaton and Ware, drawing them out of the ring, allowing Jerry Calhoun to count them out. (B, 78)

AWA Southern Heavyweight Title Match—No Disqualification
--Jerry Lawler def. Austin Idol w/Jimmy Hart in 10:02 by pinfall. The Moondogs interfered in the match but JYD and Williams made the save for Lawler and drove the Moondogs from ringside. Lawler then applied the Las Vegas Leglock to Idol, reached inside his trunks for a pair of brass knucks and knocked Idol out for Jerry Calhoun to count the pinfall. (B, 78) Lawler wins the AWA Southern Heavyweight title for the 29th time. After the match, JYD and Williams come out to congratulate Lawler on the victory. (B-, 76)

--Idol has signed a written deal with Georgia. He is leaving the promotion tomorrow so he drops the title to Lawler on TV.
