Alexander Takes Best Bat Award in June

Kenny Alexander received the Continental League Batter of the Month trophy earlier today for his efforts at the plate this last month.
"He might be getting older,"
Noblesville's manager told reporters, "But he's been around long enough to know what it takes to put a stretch such as this together... and he doesn't keep that to himself. He's always talking to the younger guys in the clubhouse helping 'em any way they'll let him. Kenny's value to our team goes farther than the numbers he puts up on the field."
To win the honor Alexander put up a .388 batting average, 8 home runs, 15 RBIs and scored 22 times in June.
So far in 2205 Alexander is batting .342 with 20 home runs, 51 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has 109 hits in 319 at-bats and a .416 OBP.

The Republic League has made it official --
Quentin Rich is the winner of the Batter of the Month trophy.
In June, the
Atlanta right fielder starred with a .325 batting average, 8 home runs and 13 RBIs.
Rich also had 8 walks, posted a .367 on-base percentage and scored 25 times.
In 83 games this season
Rich has batted at a .326 pace with 116 hits and 19 home runs.
