If we lose our last two non-conference games like I think we will, we'll end up 6-7, which, if we match last year's 4 conference wins, will give me double-digit wins for the first time in my FBCB coached out career.

vs Central Connecticut State (2-11)
Back to full health is Dominic Remy, but we'll keep him as a bench option due to his turnover-prone nature. CCSU is better than their record suggests - a couple of good 3 point shooters in the backcourt, and some great post defenders. Not sure why they're doing so poorly.

Sure enough, more foul trouble, and our defense has completely deserted us. We also can't shoot to save our lives.

Claw back to within 2 by just over 4 minutes left in the game.

1:36 left, Brenton Barros converts a bucket to put us up by a pair. Misses on both sides, and Michael Edwards hauls in a defensive board, forcing their most productive player to foul out with 32 seconds left. Both shots fall in, and we're up by 4.

Their 3 pointer misses, and Konrad Hollgruber snags the rebound, getting another of their starters to foul out. The German makes both, and we can finally rest easy.

One thing this team has is motherfucking grit. And we're also guaranteed to finish with a winning non-conference record. Last year? 5-8, and we're playing somewhat higher prestige teams this season.

@ Boise State (7-5)
Suspensions and injuries have hit Boise State pretty hard. They're still way too talented for us to hope to compete with on the road though.

And yet, we're actually up by 3 points at the half. Don't ask me how - probably the switch to the 2-3 zone, which I've been doing the last few games when they other team can't miss anything.

And OF COURSE, WE SUDDENLY GO COLD AND DOMINIC REMY'S FUCKING STUPID CHUCKLEHEAD ASS GIVES THE GAME AWAY WITH FOULS.

Ugh. ANOTHER FUCKING GAME WE HAD AND PISSED AWAY.

We lose yet ANOTHER recruit. Horrible recruiting season is horrible. I really feel like snapping my keyboard in half or throwing it right now.
