Our bad results lead to a radical approach. We sell club captain Piedra (who has fallen down the pecking order), Carballo, Silverio and a bunch of players on loan and not in the big picture bringing in 154 million USD, and splash the cash.
We bring in five major players:
Danish AM Christian Marcussen (3.5/4) 15.5 million
Brazilian CB Elton (3.5) 15.5 million
German GK Jan Bolte (3.5/4) 19 Million
Dutch LB 21. Ivo Koster (3) 24 Million (to replace Kundsen who breaks his leg in training...)
and, in an astonishing coup
Uruguayan AR Marco Gunaris for 73 Million from Man City (4.5).
Gunaris is world class, and for some reason Man City isn't playing him enough. We get Man City to chip in 88k/week in salary and make him our most expensive player ever. This strains our finances--in the end the board chips in to make sure we meet financial fair play, though after all of the dividens they extracted its the least they could do. But I want to win soon, and he is the kind of player who can help us meet our goals.
