So, about Callum McNish. He's actually on loan from Chesterfield - not outright transferred like I thought. Whoops. He's listed as not needed, but he has no interest in moving to play for us despite having me as favored personnel.

DC Paul Weldon
DC Sam Walton
DR Jimmy Tickle
DM Eddy Gnahore
ML Ryan Lloyd
MC Antonie Boland
MR Trevor Sedgemore
ST Zach Little
ST Richie Madine

10 - Knock for Madine

13 - Lloyd passes it back to Gnahore and gets it back again, dribbles just inside the left corner of the six-yard box, and hits a screaming diagonal that finds it way in the net for his first Gainsborough goal! 1-0

16 - Gnahore locates Madine, who sends it in the middle to Boland. Our MC shows off his comfort and newly acquired skill by passing it perfectly to Sedgemore, and just like that, our loaned wide midfielders have a score a piece. 2-0

22 - We really need a new DR. Tickle's toyed with like twine twice, and the end result is a long-range strike for them. 2-1

30 - Little delivers it to Boland, who records his second straight laser beam, this time to Madine. With a little help from the post, our pricey striker FINALLY gets his first goal for us. 3-1

Dowie goes in for Madine, Tickle shifts to DC, and Richefond suits up at DR at the break, because Weldon's looking complacent.

56 - Gnahore has to leave after an injury, and Wilkins comes on.

[]b72[/b] - Boland passes to Dowie and it continues on to Little. Our top striker pauses just outside the box, takes aim at the upper-corner of the goal... and hits! 4-1

Boland scores a 9.0 and PotM. He's blossomed into exactly the role I envisioned for him when I signed him last year. 8.0 for Sedgemore, 7.8 for Lloyd and 7.7 for Little.

Transfer In - DL/MC Seb Turner (23)
2 year, $28k per year deal. Rated 3* attacking WB and 2.5* B2B MC, and he has upside of the BS Premier level. While his contract puts us over budget, he's $10.5k a year cheaper than Paul Weldon, and his replacement for next season. Given that Curtis Da Costa is still hurt, Seb will immediately step in the starting lineup at DL and get an opportunity to win the job now. Nuneaton has some unhappy fans with the move.

Joseph Lumley signs a non-contract with AFC Telford because he knows he'll never see the starting lineup again with us.

Big, big game obviously, given that we're only 1 point ahead, although we do have a game in hand. We definitely need to get a win here in the 30th game of the season to really cement our hold atop the conference.

1 - Madine kicks out to Tickle for the booming hoof, but Little can't put it in despite the golden opportunity.

30 - It's Madine again, this time using his speed and awareness to race and grab his own deflected ball, power down the pitch, and then pass it horizontally to Little, and all the faked out goalie can do is watch as Zach tallies up another one. 1-0

Knott comes in at ML, because Lloyd is having a terrible game, and Wilkins takes over at MC for a tired Boland. Close, close contest.

79 - Brilliant tackle by Wilkins results in the ball in Little's possession. He passes it to Madine, and the post once again is in favor of our newest striker, for the doubling of the lead and Madine's Gainborough goal tally!! 2-0

91 - And there's Sedgmore knocked out of the game. Richefond steps in for him.

"Gainsborough secure a massive win!" Boy, you ain't kidding. 7.5 for Dereck Turner, Walton, and Weldon. 8.2 for the duo of Little and Madine up front, the first getting the PotM award.

Sedgemore is out 4 to 5 weeks, but that may not matter.

D/MR Freddie Dalton comes in a 3 month loan. He's just depth, though.

Good Trains
Will Wilkins
Dereck Turner
Steve Dowie

Zach Little comes in 2nd in Player of the Month voting, and I win Manager of the Month and the difference is not even close. Our efforts at landing an elite MR loan-in failed.

$4.71k lost last month.

Will Wilkins continues to flourish in training.

ST Stevie Dowie

Yep, you saw that right. Alex Worsfold is finally back from injury, and it's amazing how well we coped in his absence. Or maybe not, considering depth at DM was a big priority for us in the offseason.

37 - This is our game in hand, and we're playing like we don't care. 0-1

60 - Dowie and Walton are yanked for Madine and Fell. Sub-6.0 isn't going to cut it.

80 - So much for that 0-2

83 - Beautiful strip, run and pass to Little by Madine to give us a glimmer of hope after Zach's knock-in. 1-2

88 - Ugh. Lloyd hits it right, but the post bounces us out.

93 - Fluky long strike. 1-3

Our backline completely let us down there. Just a total collapse.
