This week went pretty damn well. I stopped eating crap at work and instead started eating lighter dishes or minestrone soup for lunch, cut my portions down, cut out the booze ( ), and made it to the gym three times this week for cardio. The only times I slipped were Saturday night when I had a big glass of Bailey's and Sunday when the wife and I went to a family friend's house for Easter dinner. There's no way I could turn down ham, potatoes, and birthday cake.

My starting weight last Monday was 221.5. I started losing weight pretty quickly, and am very happy with my progress so far. This morning I weighed in at 216.0...a 5.5 pound loss! I probably won't be able to keep up this pace, but as long as I keep losing a couple of pounds a week I'll be happy. I was originally hoping to lose ten pounds by my 30th birthday (exactly one month from today), but if I keep going it may be closer to 15 or 20...
