Also I wouldn't be too discouraged by the disinterested line. If I recall you're playing in FM11 and I believe disinterest was a sign of difficulties adjusting to a new country.

Thanks Barkeep - good to know about the "looking disinterested" comment from my assistant...
As for player roles, I experimented for a long time with Cairney and he's locked in as our "box-to-box" guy. If Jose plays alongside him, I'll install Jose in an advanced playmaking role. If Cairney is out of the lineup and Jose is in, I'll put Jose as the box to box guy. His attribute ratings look good for both roles so we'll see how he produces in both spots.
At this point, I'm still planning on having Andrea Rocca be our main starter alongside Cairney but I still envision at least 20-25 starts for Jose as he gets accustomed to England.
