Florida State (1-2) vs Central Florida (1-2)
Central Florida is rated 80 OVR (78 off/80 def/82 sht/87 reb/86 coach). Their last NCAA Tournament appearance was 2005... its been a rough road for the knights. They have had a tough road in this little tournament, getting two top 20 teams, losing badly to both Syracuse and Missouri.
Scouting
PG Will Gale – JR – 78 OVR – Gale looks a lot like my freshmen... ok speed, ok defense, a good steals guy(82/B). Also a very good passer(89/B+). 88 close/77 med/72 3/79 off the dribble. He looks like a guy that could be good with a lot more development but who isn't just yet.
SG Vytas Stepp – JR – 74 OVR – Poor shooter. 84 close/69 med/66 3. 82 defense/80 steals, good speed/quickness, butnot great (87/85). The fact that he can really only score efficiently inside kills his usefulness.
SF Trey DeLeon – SR – 68 OVR – natural SF, 6'6”. poor defense, poor shooting, poor scorer... this guy is terrible. 4 points/game so far.
PF Predrag Sowers – JR – 73 OVR – 6'8” natural PF. 82 orb/87 drb. 78 post off/74 post def. 80 close/83 in traffic. These guys are better rebounders but suffer elsewhere. 12.3 ppg so far.
C Diego Viegas – JR – 76 OVR – 7'1” counts for a lot, 249 lbs, strong(83/a-). 82 orb/83 drb. 87 post off/78 post def. 92 close/85 in traffic. He rebounds as well as our guys and he's a lot bigger, and he looks like a very strong inside scorer. 16 ppg through 3 games so far, i'm worried about him putting up monster numbers.
UCF has one backup rated over 70, a freshman PF who is a decent scorer. Looks like we just need to slow them down inside. Other than rebounding we should have a huge edge everywhere.

| Fun back and forth half. If this were against North Carolina it'd be awesome. Unfortunately, Central Florida is the level of competition that generates fun back and forth games right now 
Sneed has 12 for us, 5-7 inside, great half. We also have 7 from Moye and Ozier.
UCF has 13 from SG Stepp, who has managed 2 3's despite terrible 3 point shooting(this is why I never run zone, 65 rated 3 point shooters are enough to kill a zone). Viegas has 10 for them, their big center I was worried would have a huge day. But he's 4-10 from the field with a couple free throws, I can accept that.

| Terrible start to the 2nd half. Sneed can't make anything and we have a couple turnovers. Stepp has 6 for them already and 19 total. I get a timeout.

| I get another timeout to get my backups in. I was ready to sub them in around 14:50... locklier playing with the backups since he had foul trouble. Viegas has 15 and Stepp 19 now, we can't stop either.

| Timeout UCF after we put up 4 straight. Alloway is showing signs of what he will be able to do in the future, he can streak to the basket if he gets a step on his man... really nice double cluch shot in traffic to get it down to 4.

| The backups lead us on a big run, 12-0 at this point, and we've taken the lead back. Starters are coming back in as UCF calls another timeout. Alloway and Barrett both put up double figure games and are huge today.

Another stop and an Ozier bucket make it a 10 point game with a minute left, and that's where it ends.

Central Florida had two players and got the most they could out of them. Stepp put up 21 and Viegas 19 and 9 boards. But as I mentioned in the first half, if Viegas was going to shoot 4-10 he's welcome to ... and he ends up 8-20/3-6 at the line.
Forte: 2 poitns/2 assists/2 steals
Moye: 13 points
Ozier: 13 points/5 boards
Sneed: 16 points/4 boards
Locklier: 4 points/5 boards
Barrett: 13 points
Alloway: 11 points
Barrett and Alloway were huge off the bench. Moye was 1-5 from 3 but was productive driving to the basket.
This gives us 7th place in our preseason tourney.
