2027/28 Barclays Premier League - Second Half Results

Our stalwart forward Chiquinho would be named captain of the squad after the departure of Salim Loucif and fellow striker Paul Moses was named vice-captain.

We won eight straight league games heading into the new year and would pick up right where we left off, extending that run to 14 straight before a 1-1 draw at home against Manchester City. We’d face a tough stretch in February, drawing three games including a 0-0 snoozefest against Aston Villa as we continued our attempt to reach the summit in the Premier League.

Thankfully, a 3-0 win at Newcastle on March 4th began yet another long winning streak in league play and despite a 2-0 loss at Old Trafford to rival Manchester United ending that streak, we’d win 3-0 away against Chelsea in the penultimate game of the season to seal our third straight Premier League title!

DOVER WINS THE 2027/28 BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP!

We finished 11 points back of our record total of 104 the year before but that was expected after such a bold set of moves both in July and in January. We’ve reloaded our roster with much younger players yet still won the league by seven points.

Well, Yaya Sanogo of Manchester United finally started to act his age and as a result, Jelle Hoegee won the league scoring race by a single goal over our very own Paul Moses.

Benedikt Raab had another huge season, leading the league in assists and winning the very coveted English Footballer of the Year award! Adding to our trophy case was Mwemere Mutesa taking home the Player’s Young Player of the Year award, only one year after finishing second.

Mario Brito was a curious choice as the Players’ Player of the Year and Michael Laudrup winning Manager of the Year for guiding perennial powerhouse Chelsea to a 9th place finish in the league? THAT’S A BUG, BABY! I’d finish second but whatever…I’ll take the team success and run!
