-Pre-Show Dark Match
A lengthy video is showed recapping the events in the Adonis/Piper feud. (D+)

-Non-Title Match
The Sheepheders (w/ Skandor Akbar) defeat Mike Von Erich & Tommy Rodgers in 4:47 when Williams pinned Rodgers. (C). Miller looked good.

-After the match, a returning Koko B. Ware and Bobby Eaton appeared out of nowhere and attacked The Sheepherders, who were caught completely off guard. They briefly tried to repel the attack, but were overwhelmed, and fled from the ringside area with Skandor Abkar. (C+)

-Koko & Eaton then grabbed mics and addressed the crowd, saying they're finally back at 100% after the Sheepherders put them out of action at Mexican Invasion 2 months ago. They thank the fans for their cards and letters, and say they're now gunning to get their tag titles back. (B-)

-Fritz Von Erich comes out to address the duo. Fritz says he has one more open spot in a World Championship Tournament Qualifying match tonight against Brian Adias. He said that he didn't expect Koko and Eaton to be back so quickly, but if that they can decide amongst themselves who gets the shot, they can have it tonight. (B-)

-Adrian Adonis (w/ Skandor Akbar) defeated Owen Hart in 4:34 by submission. (C-). After the match, Adonis cut much of Hart's hair off, as a statement to Roddy Piper. (D)

-Eaton & Ware come back to the ring. They say they've decided to take the World Title Tournament Qualifying Match opportunity, and they'll decide who gets the spot via a coin flip. Koko flips the coin, Eaton calls heads, and heads it is. Koko wishes Eaton luck, and leaves the ring. (B-)

-WCCW World Heavyweight Championship - Qualifying Match
Bobby Eaton defeated Brian Adias (w/ Gary Hart) in 8:17 by pinfall to earn spot #10 in the tournament. (C)

-Kevin Von Erich cut a promo hyping his upcoming qualifying match. He says with 2 Von Erichs in the tournament, it's a great opportunity for them to end their recent slump. (C-)

-WCCW World Heavyweight Championship - Qualifying Match
Frank Dusek defeated Kevin Von Erich in 8:55 by countout after Kevin got distracted by all three Freebirds out at ringside. (C+) Dusek earns spot #11 in the tournament. After the match, The Freebirds through Kevin back to the ring and began a 3-1 attack. Mike ran to the ring to help out (C), but Freebirds' numbers advantage allowed them to take control again. (David was not in the building tonight) They left Mike & Kevin laying in the ring. (C-) Mike performed poorly in the segment.

-Tiger Mask defeated Arturo Mendoza (the former Villano III) in 26:45 by countout, after Tiger Mask hit Mendoza with a shooting star plancha from the top rope to the outside of the ring. (A)

Overall Show Rating: B-

THOUGHTS:

-The Mendoza/Tiger Mask feud is going to keep going for a while, and why not - they delivery an incredible main event match kicking of their second official storyline together. This was the best match ever for both guys.

-Frank Dusek pulls off the shocking upset over Kevin Von Erich (with an assist from the Freebirds). That mean there will only be one Von Erich in the world title tournament, and 3 Freebirds. 11 of 12 spots have been determined, the final spot will be decided between Tiger Mask and Nikita Koloff next week.

-Eaton & Koko's return should give us a boost. I have to decide what to do with the tag titles though. The Freebirds want all the belts, including the tag titles, currently held by the heel Sheepherders. They also have a business relationship of some sort with the Sheepherder's manager, Skandor Akbar. And obviously, Koko/Eaton are right in the mix for the tag title now too
